Savo was spotted by our Care Centre Coordinator on her property with a pussy eye. She was still with her mother so it was a delima whether to catch her and bring her into care as the chances of being able to catch her with her mother were slim.

We knew without treatment Savo would eventually become blind and most likely die so the decision was made to catch her while the opportunity was there and if there was a chance to later catch her mother we would.

Unfortunately her mother has not been seen since that day but Savo has done very well in care.

Her eye is no longer pussy and she has made good weight gains. It will not be long till she is returned to the property where she came from for a soft, supported release back to her home. In the photo on the right she is the koala on the right hand side. She is pictured with one of her buddies, Spyder.
