Milly
Many of our female koalas suffering from outward symptoms of Chlamydia such as conjunctivitis also suffer from internal problems. One of the worst is ovarian cysts which cannot be treated. Milly needed an ultrasound to detect if any cysts were present as this would effect her prognosis. Concerns were raised amoungst all her carers when the ultrasound indicated there was a suspicion of small cysts. Because it was only a suspicion, treatment for her eyes was commenced with advice from the vet that she would need to be re ultrasounded near the end of her treatment to confirm if she had cysts or not. Milly re visited the Australian Wildlife Hospital for her ultrasound. A great sigh of relief was felt when it was reported back she was all clear. What good news. Milly has now been successfully released back to the wild If you would like to Support Milly, find out her story and help other koalas like her, Click here to download a form to print out and post in.
