Koala Kare - Choosing a LogoKoala Kare
Hi!! I decided to have some fun with this article. I’m sending in some pictures that I drew and I am going to use one of them for the Koala Kare logo. Here are the choices:
Hello again everyone!! I would like to announce the results of the Koala Kare survey from my last column. The winner is…. Number 3!! (The picture of the adult koala face with the little koala face above him, in case you didn’t read my last article) Special thanks to Victoria, Matthew and Andrew Williams for voting. Now, I would like to tell you about the organization that I have been working with for the past couple of months. It’s called Friends of the Koala (also known as FOK) so, here’s a little info on this great organization:
What They do: FOK rescues orphaned, injured or diseased koalas. The koalas they rescue and rehabilitate are koalas of all ages, from little babies to fully-grown adults. The care center is in Australia. Most of the koalas are released into the wild. While they are in rehabilitation, however, they need people to help them. On their website (www.friendsofthekoala.org) you can donate to help any koalas that are not well enough to be released. If you ever want to check out the website to learn more about this organization, you really should. The site is listed above. I’m disappointed that this year we didn’t get to do the science festival, but I hope you will help me support Friends of the Koala at the Share Faire this May. Bye!!
