Grover came into care last April, from Nunderi, after being spotted with red, sore eyes. He was suffering from conjunctivitis.
This week he was released, back to the wild, in the area where he came from.
Pictured are the two ladies who first reported Grover, Gayle and Carolyn. Grover was released on Carolyn's property which as can be seen from the picture has lots of beautiful Tallow woods.
He was keen to be back home.
Friends of the Koala member Sue, who was involved in his rescue and release sent the following message -
'It (the rescue) went really well. He sat in the transport box for a minute or so once the lid was opened and then took off like a rocket up the tree. He went up about 15 metres without stopping, stopped to look around a bit and then up another
few metres to a branch he could rest on. Looked like he was going to stay here for a while.'
Thankyou to Gayle and Carolyn for taking the time to call Friends of the Koala when they first spotted Grover. If it was not for their call he would not be back out there - a fit, healthy, wild koala.
