Ashley
At release Ashley was fitted with a radio tracking collar. For two years his post release pro-gress was monitored on a weekly basis. Data collected included his whereabouts, health sta-tus, what tree species he frequented, how high he sat in trees, if there were any other koalas nearby, how many times he crossed roads as well as many other facts. After two years the battery in Ashley’s collar ran out so he was recaptured. A veterinary check was conducted, the collar was removed and Ashley was re released.
