Further to the Notice of Special Resolutions advertised in the June 2008 issue of Treetops (p.8)

 In regard to a motion to be moved at the Annual General Meeting of Friends of the Koala Incorporated to be held on 15 August 2008:

(a) to repeal the existing Rules/Constitution of Friends of the Koala Incorporated dated 1994 as amended and to adopt the draft Constitution which will be submitted to the meeting

The Committee of Friends of the Koala Incorporated has engaged the Environmental Defender’s Office Northern Rivers to assist it to draft a new constitution that is current in accordance with the Model Rules provided under the Associations Incorporation Act 1984 (NSW) and reflects the current operations of Friends of the Koala Incorporated. The draft Constitution has been prepared in full consultation with all Committee members who signed-off on the draft presented here for perusal at the Committee Meeting held on 25 June 2008.

In regard to a second motion which was to be moved at the Annual General Meeting of Friends of the Koala Incorporated to be held on 15 August 2008:

(b)                         to change the name of Friends of the Koala Incorporated to Friends of the Koala (Northern Rivers) Incorporated

This motion has been withdrawn.
