Gloria a rehabilitated koala released
Luckily Friends of the Koala member Henry Paule, who took her back to her home range for release, was able to take another photo as she stopped half way up the tree to do the almost compulsory turn around and look back almost all koalas do at release. Gloria has been a real favourite in the Care Centre where she was treated. She has very unusual colouring. Her fur is much darker than the koalas we see from this area. Her hands are almost black. The white patch on her chest stands out in stark contrast with the rest of her dark grey fur. Good luck Gloria. Let's hope she produces a few more babies and lives a happy and long life out there. |
