Peter came into care with FOK in October 2006. He was found by himself on the ground in the Lismore area. He had a bad case of pneumonia and was very cold and hungry. At 900g he should have still been with his mum.

He was so grateful for some food and fluids that he put on 200g in his first 4 days in care. This is a lot for an orphan koala.

He is now a very different boy at over 2.3kg. He has just recently moved outside with his buddy koala Frankie. They have started to explore their big climbing tree together, buildling up their musces ready for release within the next 4-6months.

Peter still loves his supplement of a special milk formula that can be fed to koalas. Koalas are unable to tolerate cows milk.
