Diego and Kurt go Free-range!

Diego came into care as a furless joey nearly 2 years ago.  Thanks to the wonderful care of his foster Mum’s (Deidre & Michelle) and the staff at AZWH, he achieved a good weight and looked very healthy – so it was  time to say good bye.

He was packed up with his little friend Kurt, who is smaller but much more confident and robust, and they were placed into soft release.

Diego’s sister Inez was on hand to welcome him to the property and she brought someone with her – her pouch was full.

UPDATE:

Both boys were released from their enclosure a few months ago but Diego is still hanging around the homestead.  He looks great though – he’s put on some weight and his coat looks gorgeous!
